Rev. Albert C. Mickel, Pastor

Albert C. Mickel, born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, came to Louisiana when he was quite young. He attended Jefferson Parish Schools until he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1966. He has attended Spencer Business College and Tulane University and (according to his instructors) he has been an ecxeptional student at Union Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana receiving his Bachelor of Theology Degree in May, 2000. He continued to attend Union Baptist Theological Seminary in pursuit of his Master of Theology Degree, which he received in May, 2004.
He has been a member of St. John Most Worshipful Grand Lodge Patterson 36 in which he served as Secretary and Junior Warden and Masonic Order 32nd Degree.
Rev. Mickel accepted his calling to the Gospel Ministry in April of 1994, preached his first sermon two months later and was ordained in June of 1996 under the auspices of the West New Orleans Missionary Baptist Educational Association. Rev. Mickel served as Associate Pastor to the Pastor Emeritus of First African Baptist Church of Gretna and immediate past President of WNOMBE Association, Rev. C. J. Watkins, until he was given and accepted the charge of Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church of Marrero in 1997.
